About STEM Women

STEM Women Global is an online directory of women in global working in  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). STEM Women Global aims to promote gender equity in STEM by showcasing the breadth of scientific talent in the region, enabling a diverse range of women to be offered exciting opportunities to progress their careers and personal capabilities.

STEM Women Global aims to raise the profile and provide opportunities to those who may experience barriers throughout their STEM career.

This includes anyone who identifies as a woman, including cisgender (personal gender identity corresponds with sex assigned at birth), transgender (personal gender identity does not correspond with sex assigned at birth). We also recognise that there are individuals who suffer from discrimination because of gender or sexual identity who do not identify either fully or partially as a woman and who we welcome to be a part of this initiative e.g. intersex and non-binary individuals.

You can read more about our approach to diversity and representation on this information page. If you have any concerns about the language and definitions used please contact us at hello@stemwomen.global.
